The game story
How it happened.
Massillon's seven-game winning streak came to an abrupt halt when visiting Cornerstone Christian of San Antonio, Texas, left town with a 35–21 victory. The Warriors finished with a slim edge in total yards, but used their speed to make more big plays than the Tigers.
Haines in the spotlight
With Savior Owens and Gary Yeager stifled for most of the night, Rasmus Haines threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns despite a fierce rush. Penalties were the real culprit — 12 for 115 yards, with good gains brought back again and again on holding calls.
Three times tied
Owens' 12-yard run tied it 7–7 after Isaiah Regge's 72-yard catch-and-run. Haines lofted a fourth-down rainbow to a double-covered Gio Jackson Jr. to tie it at 14, then found Deontay Malone, who shed two tacklers on a 73-yard touchdown to tie it at 21 early in the fourth.
McKane finishes it
Regge's second sideline touchdown, a 50-yarder, put Cornerstone up 28–21 with just over five minutes left. Holding penalties killed Massillon's next drive at the Cornerstone 47, and Jaylen McKane's 53-yard run — his third touchdown — sealed it. The Tigers fall to 7–1 with Warren Harding and Canton McKinley ahead.
