The game story
No game was played.
Farrell is one of the more successful small-school programs in Pennsylvania — 12–3 last year with a trip to the Class 2A state finals, and just 14 losses over five seasons. But a few weeks before kickoff, the Steelers backed out of the game, citing injuries, and the contest was later ruled a forfeit in Massillon's favor by the official score of 1–0.
What it means
Massillon's record improves to 7–0 and the program's all-time win total climbs to 975. For playoff seeding, the Tigers receive Harbin points for each Farrell win this season — though with Farrell equivalent to an Ohio Division VII school, the benefit is minimal.
Up next
Massillon hosts Cornerstone Christian, Texas (4–1), a team the Tigers defeated 45–20 last season. The Warriors are much improved this time around.
