The game story
How it happened.
Coming off the emotional win over St. Edward, Massillon pulled away from Canada's Football North 31–8, avenging last year's loss to a team that came in averaging 41 points a game. After failing to advance on their first two drives, the Tigers scored on each of the next five.
Defense sets the tone
The Feister brothers led a front seven that smothered North's running game, and Deontay Malone's fourth-down sack off a corner blitz ended the visitors' best early threat. North quarterback Brandon Bailey was accurate early but struggled once Massillon tightened its coverage.
Big plays break it open
Rasmus Haines found Da'Shaun Williams for a 16-yard touchdown after a 46-yard bomb to Gio Jackson Jr., and Savior Owens juked through a pile for a 43-yard score just before halftime. North opened the third quarter with a touchdown and two-point conversion to close to 14–8 — then Owens took a dump-off pass, broke four tackles and went 79 yards to end the threat.
Put away early
Mateo Herrera's 27-yard field goal made it 24–8, and when Bailey fumbled on a quarterback draw, Owens needed three plays to score from seven yards out. Massillon improved to 6–0 heading into its off week.
