The game story
How it happened.
Massillon scored on each of its first four possessions and never looked back, rolling past Canton GlenOak 54–7. The average margin in the last eight meetings is now 47–6, and this may be the final game of the 16-contest series.
Four drives, four touchdowns
Savior Owens finished off 81- and 57-yard marches, Brayton Feister charged in from 14 yards, and Gary Yeager weaved through the entire GlenOak secondary for an 86-yard score. By halftime it was 28–7, the Eagles' only answer a 20-yard touchdown pass from Jamel Hall to Caybren Saunders.
A disastrous second half for GlenOak
The Eagles mishandled the second-half kickoff, leading to a Mateo Herrera field goal, then fumbled away the next kickoff on a hit by Sabastian Harper — Owens punched in his third touchdown a play later. He added a fourth, Herrera drilled a career-long 45-yarder, and backup quarterback Manny Patterson closed it out with a 12-yard keeper.
One-sided numbers
The Tigers outgained GlenOak 425–111 and ran for 343 yards. Yeager electrified the crowd with 154 yards on just 8 carries, while Owens carried 16 times for 107 yards and four touchdowns. Brayton Feister led the defense with eight tackles and two for loss.
